May Ball!

Well the May Ball was fun, and a marathon at that. We were worried it was going to be a bit shambolic but it soon became obvious that things were being organised in a relatively efficient way, and we got in there very quicky without much in the way of queuing. After that it was all something of a blur really, there was a lot to do and it was an incredibly long evening- got in at 9 and got out at half 6 the next morning. Having said that, edited highlights included;

  • Meeting some really nice next-door neighbours of Alex's friend Meg while we used her room to get ready in, and then periodically bumping into them throughout the night
  • Bumping into the random guy I was chatting to in the toilets at Kings before I got to the ball, and scaring him off by using the phrase "our eyes met across a crowded urinal"
  • Finally managing to find the legendary £1000 gingerbread house and then eating chunks of the walls
  • Listening to 'Oxford Blue' do close harmony singing of pop greats, something they were utterly fantastic at despite their obviously dodgy provenance...
So yeah, was fun. Absolutely knackered now mind, will have to have an early night. Oh yeah, more photos here.

Oh yeah, in other news- this time next week I'll have graduated. Scary. That seems to have sneaked up on me...
