Already August

Bringing you up to date with the goings on around here.

Fortunately we escaped the flood but sadly, didn't quite escape the water shortage which followed. We were without running water for a week, until it was restored last evening. We will be unable to drink the tap water for the foreseeable future and rely on bottled water which is freely handed out at every supermarket in the area.

The return of the water supply last night resulted in a burst joint on our mains supply. For the full story, have a look here.

In the meantime, we are nearing completion of the remodelled en suite bathroom in our bedroom. It's looking pretty stunning and we can't wait to use it! It should be finished early next week - just as well, because we're off to Vietnam on Thursday.
