Late Summer in the garden
Returning from holiday, we find fruit trees full of almost-ripe plums, apples and greengages and a sunny morning brought out the best in the few flowers which are still blooming. The small cyclamen are appearing underneath the larger shrubs and around the washing line, and the lilac-coloured "spotty" plant, top right hand side, is causing many comments. It's a new one to us, recently planted in the new kitchen border and though Caroline has told me the name, I can never remember it.
