Homerton concert
Tonight I sang in a concert over at Homerton. It went very well actually! I'd been drafted in to do two things, the bass solos in Vaughan William's lovely piece "A Serenade to music" as well as a proper standalone solo, Handel's "Where-er you walk" from the opera Semele. It all went according to plan and I got a bottle of wine for my trouble which was unexpectedly generous...
The other stuff in the programme? Was a proms-based concert, so mostly old standbys like Pomp and Circumstance, Rule Britannia and so on. Good fun actually.
