Edna

We visited Edna in Hull over the weekend. She's been back at St Mary's for a week now, but sadly, the progress she made whilst in Castle Hill has not prevailed. Though her ability to walk, talk and communicate her wishes are undoubtedly still there, for much of the time she resists encouragement to progress and is generally unco-operative with the therapists who want her to succeed.

Her mood yesterday was rather low. She spent time in tears, muttering to herself and asking "Why?" Of course, we have no answers and nothing we could say or do lifted her spirits for long though her frustration was clear. This was the first time she has failed to respond to our efforts to jolly her along and we left feeling low ourselves.
